Energy demands have clearly become a defining issue of this century and the changing face of the energy sector is driven by the increasing need to rely on renewable energy sources to balance our ongoing dependence on fossil fuels.
Our Energy and Projects team was the first to advise a client on the injection of bio-methane into the UK gas network.
In conjunction with the Burlingtons Kazakhstan office it has represented a British client on public procurement processes in country enabling it to be awarded a Kazakh government tender to prepare a feasibility study for the construction of a 10Mw straw waste to electricity plant.
We have a rapidly expanding sustainable energy practice. This includes acting on fund raising for clean technology projects and environmentally compatible energy schemes and advising on policy and regulation.
Our team has advised on:
- • anaerobic digestion and biomass projects
- • wind farms and solar projects
- • planning and construction
- • technology ownership issues
- • financing
